The Hospitality Ministries at St. David’s is the Café Divine kitchen, Holy Grounds Coffee Shop, Books and Gifts, The Space event planning services. In 2020, we developed an online ordering ministry that offers items from Café Divine and Holy Grounds.
Our Hospitality Ministries serve both our St. David’s and greater Austin communities by creating places to gather. We offer food and beverage services as well as a wide variety of meeting immunities for groups both large and small. We are focused on building long term relationships with those we serve with a goal to always exceed expectations.
Cafe Divine is the product of years of education and specialized training at The Culinary Institute of America by The St. David’s Hospitality Ministry Director Chef Ray Trono and Sous Chef Mark Shevlin. They, along with countless volunteers and a team of hospitality-focused staff including Edmundo Diaz, Manager of Holy Grounds Taylor Cloyd, and Director of The Space at St. David’s Ken Spivey, strive to put their love, passion, and creativity into everything they do.
We support The Central Texas Food Bank with monthly monetary donations generated by tips collected from online food sales. We, as a part of The Hospitality Ministry at St. David’s Episcopal Church, also help to support The Trinity Center, which caters to the local homeless population, and a multitude of St. David’s Ministries.
We believe that community is everything and do what we can to foster authentic relationships and positive change through tasty food, kind service, and forward-thinking.
Holy Grounds is a cafe and gift store located in the heart of downtown Austin. Our full espresso bar serves fair-trade, organic coffee from Texas Coffee Traders. We support local artists, green products, and the fair-trade movement. We love being a part of the St. David’s Hospitality Ministry and serving our community. Visit our website to see our menu, contact us, and order online.
Although events at St. David’s, as a part of the hospitality ministry, have been around for many years, The Space at St. David’s has launched itself into an atmosphere all its own in 2019.

As a part of the hospitality ministry, The Space is the go-to event planning department for St. David’s events like our parish picnic, Trinity Center fundraisers, and Eckhardt Mission Series.
