Sunday Morning Formation, 10:15 – 11:10 a.m.
Formation meets from 10:15-11:10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Formation is lectionary based and typically focuses on the intersection between our daily lives and the Gospel reading for the day. We meet all together, play a game or have a brief activity, then split into middle/high school for further discussion.
Formation is taught by Rick Patrick, Elizabeth Shelton, and Jenny Campbell, and supported by volunteers like you!
Come on down to the 1st floor room 170 on Sunday morning. We begin gathering around 10:10 a.m.
Want to volunteer? We are always in need of a second adult. We welcome volunteers who want to teach as well as volunteers who mostly want to observe and join the fun. All children and youth volunteers must be safeguarding God’s children certified, so email Jenny Campbell with questions about that!
Weekly Episcopal Youth Community “EYC” Offerings
EYC, or Episcopal Youth Community, is a weekly gathering outside of Sunday morning for middle and high schoolers to tackle conversations surrounding age-specific questions, concerns, and topics of growing up & personal faith. Often times we will play games, do crafts, or mini service projects during our weekly meetings. Middle and High school meet separately, but sometimes join together for special events.
Middle School EYC meets on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. in Sumners hall. We buy dinner from Cafe Divine ($5 for under 12, $7 for ages 12 and up), take our trays and head down to the youth room shortly after. Each meeting involves check ins and an activity or devotional. You are welcome to bring outside food. We wrap up at 7pm and come upstairs to meet parents in the lobby.
High School EYC meets on Tuesday nights from 6-8pm in the youth room. We eat potluck style dinner together and do check ins, an activity or game, and devotionals.
