Summer Mission Trip
Rising 7th-12th graders are welcome to join our annual mission trip. This past summer, July 2017, 10 youth from St. David’s attended Missionpalooza, a diocesan led trip doing flood relief in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We had an incredible time working and worshiping with people from all over the Diocese of Texas. See some of our photos here! Stay tuned for information on our 2018 mission trip around the start of the year.
St. David’s offers many opportunities for youth and families to get involved. Aside from our yearly mission trip, we participate in Day of Service, a church-wide day dedicated to serving our community! Our 2018 date is April 14th. In 2017, we helped mulch, garden, and tend for Pease Park. And we did it all in our St. David’s uniform, tie-dye!
We are involved with service projects in and outside of the church. The youth play a major part in decorating for Trinity Center’s annual Christmas Party for Homeless Neighbors, in leading our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper in February, and in shepherding children during Vacation Bible School the 1st week of June. If you or your child are interested in getting involved with outreach at St. David’s, contact Director of Youth Ministries Jenny Campbell to see what we’re up to next!
