We are called to support families’ formation, worship, and daily lives, and to nurture children’s growing faith through wonder, learning, prayer, and play. In uncertain times, we realize how much we need community. We may not be together in person, but continue to connect with friends and feed our spiritual formation online. We are learning as we go, and we are better together.

Classes are on Zoom and begin after Children’s Chapel

  • The Jesse Tree (Ages 3-Kindergarten) In Advent and Christmastide our class will learn of God’s plan of Salvation and explore the Christmas story. The name Jesse Tree comes from the Isaiah, who said “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.”
  • Advent with the Animals (1st-5th grades) Celebrate Advent by listening to the story of Jesus’ birth, as told by the animals who saw it all happen! We will enjoy visits from some special storytellers, make fun crafts, and celebrate the joy of this Advent season together.
  • The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: Ecclesiola (Level I: Ages 3-6, Level II: Ages 6-9) Ecclesiola Ecclesiola referred to “little church.” The early Church understood that the home was fertile ground for discipleship, sanctification, and holiness. Catechumens will meet at the virtual prayer table on Zoom to gather for prayer, song, and reflection. Children will be provided with a selection of at-home work to support the time they would spend in the atrium.
