The Nature and Spirit of Japanese Gardens

Dr. Molly Ogorzaly, the author of top-selling book, Economic Botany, will explore through stunning photos and lecture on the beauty and spirituality of Japanese Gardens which she experienced while on a gardening internship in Japan. 

Surviving and Thriving in Your Central Texas Fall Garden

Sunday, Sept. 25, 10-11 a.m., Crail C and Zoom 

Carolyn Williams has been a Travis County Master Gardener for 21-plus years and was awarded an Emeritus status in December 2021. During that time she worked on many projects in the Austin area: Texas State School for the Deaf, the Women’s Shelter, Zilker Botanical Garden, and numerous school gardens. She has given talks and programs around the county and written numerous articles on the joys and benefits of gardening. 

Creation Care Fair

Sunday, Oct. 2, 10-11 a.m., Church Entrance

The Season of Creation lecture series will culminate in the annual St. David’s Creation Care Fair. Master Gardeners will be available to answer your questions and play games with the kids. We will have lots of information about water and energy conservation, plus our ever-popular silent auction with prizes ranging from gift certificates for Tiny Pies to a weekend in Port Aransas! 

A Celebration of St. Francis and Blessing of the Pets

Sunday, Oct. 2, 5-6 p.m., Labyrinth and Patio

A special liturgy and service where all are invited to celebrate their animal companions. Blessing of pets with music and prayers will be offered. Treats and drinks for pets and owners will be offered.
