Maundy Thursday – April 14

Childcare is available for all services.

Noon, Labyrinth Holy Eucharist service on Maundy Thursday.

6 p.m., Bethell Hall Holy Eucharist service on Maundy Thursday with foot-washing and concluding with the stripping of the altar.

7:30 p.m. Historic Church Holy Eucharist service with foot-washing and concluding with the stripping of the altar. This service will be livestreamed.

Good Friday – April 15

Stations of the Cross
7 a.m., Historic Church

Join Pastor Angela for the devotional exercise of visiting and praying in front of each of the 14 stations and meditating on the Passion of Christ.

The walk will begin in the Historic Church and continue through the building.

Good Friday Children’s Program
10-11:30 a.m., Sumners Hall

Children and families are invited to explore Good Friday through art, story, prayer, and the Stations of the Cross. Childcare is available. Contact Amanda with questions, or to volunteer.

Stations of the City
1:30-2:30 p.m., Meet in St. David’s Lobby

Walking stations of the city modeled after the stations of the cross on Good Friday. We will do a walking prayer tour of the city stopping at different places in Austin to pray for the city and its inhabitants.

Good Friday Service
Noon and 7:30 p.m., Historic Church

Childcare is available for both services.

The liturgy of Good Friday will be celebrated in the Historic Church, with members of the congregation reading the Passion Gospel. The 7:30 p.m. service will be livestreamed.


During Lent, as part of our preparation for Holy Week, the Rev. Dr. Dan Joslyn-Siemiatkoski gave a lecture on the Good Friday and Palm Sunday Passion Gospels and the Good Friday Solemn Collects from an affirming Jewish-Christian perspective. LISTEN TO LECTURE

Holy Saturday – April 16

Liturgy of Holy Saturday
9 a.m., Historic Church

The Great Vigil of Easter
7:30 p.m., Historic Church

Bring your bells! Incense will be used at this service. The 7:30 p.m. service will be livestreamed. Childcare is available.

FEAST OF MILK AND HONEY
9-10 p.m., Sumners Hall
With the proclamation of Easter at the Great Vigil, we move into Eastertide and thus may resume enjoyment of whatever was given up for Lent.
All are invited to this Feast of Milk & Honey to celebrate Christ’s resurrection and to enjoy some sweet treats!

Easter Day – April 17

Easter Services
7:30 a.m., Historic Church Holy Eucharist, Rite I (no music)
9 a.m., Historic Church Holy Eucharist, Rite II Childcare is available. 

9 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Enriching Our Worship, Outdoor Labyrinth (If raining, meets in Bethell Hall) Childcare is available.

11:15 a.m., Historic Church Holy Eucharist The 11:15 a.m. service will be livestreamed.
Childcare is available.

8 p.m. Bethell Hall, Compline, livestreamed

EASTER COOKIES
After a two-year hiatus, our annual Easter reception is back! Chef Ray needs YOU to bake your best and be part of the celebration. Chef will take cookie donations Wednesday, April 13-17 (Easter Sunday).


PARISH POTLUCK
Easter Sunday, April 17, 12:15 p.m., Sumners Hall
Chef Ray and the team will provide the glazed ham, roasted vegetables, scalloped potatoes, iced tea, and water. We ask you to bring a salad or dessert to feed yourself and 4 others. To participate in the cookie reception, sign up to bring dishes to the potluck, volunteer to help with the potluck, or have questions, please email Chef Ray or visit him in the kitchen on Sunday.  

Easter Flowers and Music

As we prepare for Palm Sunday and Easter, we ask for donations to help provide the decorations and special musical offerings for these celebratory Sundays.

Donations can be made through offertory envelopes in our worship spaces or online (select Easter and Christmas Flower fund).
