Hospitality Ministry Staffing Update

Kenneth Spivey

After three years, Kenneth Spivey, director of special events for The Space at St. David’s, has accepted a position at First United Methodist Church in downtown Austin.

Kenneth has worked tirelessly to establish and elevate St. David’s event space and brand through continued partnerships with SXSW, Texas Tribune Festival, Austin Film Festival. He’s also brought hundreds of new people to our building with new events, meetings, and conferences. During this pandemic, Kenneth has been instrumental in helping the Hospitality Ministry change direction with our Café Divine and Holy Grounds Curbside operation.

We are so grateful for Kenneth and his gifts of event planning and hospitality. Friday, Sept. 10, is Kenneth’s last day at St. David’s and we wish him well. We look forward to collaborating with him as we continue our shared mission.

Taylor Cloyd

Taylor Cloyd has agreed to serve as interim director of events for The Space at St. David’s. She has managed Holy Grounds Cafe and Bookstore for the past five years and will continue to oversee its operation.

Taylor is an energetic, creative, customer service-oriented manager. Her skill set and job knowledge, which extends throughout the organization and into the operations of The Space and Curbside, will allow for a smooth and seamless transition.

We thank all our St. David’s friends and families for their support. We appreciate your patience as we refine hospitality’s offerings and define our role in this time of Covid and beyond. If you, your business, or anyone you know is in need of an event space, email
