Charlie Riley, graduate of LASA high school, will be attending UT in the fall to study kinesiology.
Clara Young, graduate of McCallum, will be attending the University of Arizona in the fall. She is planning to study History and pursue her interest in photography and dance. She will miss the Joyful Noise youth choir and singing in church. She remembers fondly many happy summers in Suzette Puckett’s Summer Performing Arts camp and years of Spring Musicals.
Gabi Cabrera is in the top 2% of her graduating class at Del Valle High school. She is vice president of the Honor Society, and a leader in the Fellowship of Student Athletes. She was also elected by the Diocese of Texas to be a youth representative in Washington DC this summer. She was a varsity soccer player all 4 years in high school and captain of the team. She was one of a handful of students to be paired with a WWI veteran through the Sinice Foundation. She and others traveled to New Orleans to hear their veteran’s stories and walk through the veterans museum. This experience greatly affected her and she remains pen pals with her veteran. Her fondest memories of St David’s include the youth community, her friends, and the summer mission trips. She will be attending UT-Austin in the fall studying Astrophysics and minoring in religious studies.
Hannah is excited about her graduation from Austin High and will be attending the University of Arkansas this fall. She plans to participate in the sorority rush process and looks forward to meeting new friends. She’s still undecided on a major, but is considering nutrition or some other food related subject. While her family will certainly miss her dearly, we are so exited about the next chapter of her life and pray that it will be filled with more blessings than she could ask for or imagine.
Lydia, current senior at Austin High, will be attending Trinity University this fall to study history, environmental science, and communications. Some of her fondest memories of Saint David’s are participating in the youth choir and musicals, acolyting during Christmas Eve and Easter services, meeting Bishop Curry during her confirmation class, and working with Jenny on sustainability practices in the youth room to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award.
Novella is planning on attending UT Austin the fall and majoring in education. She’s been very involved in a program called Breakthrough Central Texas, which mentors first generation college-bound students from 7th grade though college. Her current goal is to teach at-risk students in middle school. Novella will be a graduating from LASA.
Stephen is graduating from McCallum High School (Fine Arts Academy) this spring. He’s really excited to be attending Texas Tech University in the fall to study Mechanical Engineering.
Will is graduating from Headwaters School. His plans are to attend St Edwards University in Austin, TX.
After LASA graduation, Winn plans to serve as an RCC at Camp Allen this summer. In August, she’ll move to Oxford, Mississippi, where she’ll enter the Croft Institute for International Studies at the University of Mississippi.
