I went on the Israel pilgrimage trip with the St. David’s group in June of 2013. It was a life changing event to say the least.
All the Bible stories I had learned as a child came to life, narrated by a historian tour guide with a wealth of knowledge and experience about the country and its people. Seeing is believing, and my faith became stronger.
Our group consisted of 26 people, mainly from the church family; marrieds, singles, young, and old. The friendships formed on the trip continue today because we still see our traveling companions weekly among our church friends.
Dianne Benton planned the itinerary and travel accommodations for the group. She has led many of these trips so everything goes smoothly. There is a good blend of learning and relaxation scheduled throughout the day.
If going to Israel is on your bucket list, or you need to return again to capture more of the experience, join the trip being planned for November 4-14, 2016. You can learn more and ask questions this Sunday, May 22, at the table in the lobby where brochures are also available. You can also learn more here.
