Sunday, October 29
Have you noticed the festive flags hanging all around the church? These decorations are part of our Harvest Sunday Celebration we’re planning for Sunday, October 29. On this day, St. David’s will host an all-parish worship service followed by a BBQ picnic and celebration. Our primary worship service will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Historic Church. After this, we will move to the front surface lot to enjoy Chef Ray’s BBQ, Amy’s Ice Cream, live music, a photo booth, and fun activities for all ages! As we celebrate the past, present, and future of St. David’s, Father Chuck is asking everyone to make their giving commitment by this day.
Details for this day: Valet parking will be available for our mobility-challenged parishioners. Food and beverages are complimentary; donations to cover costs will be accepted at the event. On this day we will not have our regular Adult, Youth, and Children’s Formation classes; child care for ages 2 months–3 years will be offered on the first floor beginning at 10 a.m. We will have our usual 8 a.m., 5 and 8 p.m. worship services. In the event the 10:30 a.m. worship service gets full, we’ll observe our overflow practice of asking everyone to move as far into the pews as possible, then directing overflow to Sumners Hall where the service will be broadcast.
Harvest Sunday sale: Be sure to stop in Holy Grounds on this day, 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., for great deals on books and gifts. Complimentary coffee during the sale.
We look forward to seeing each of you and celebrating St. David’s at this fun event!
