“We joined St. David’s last year, and are so happy to have found such a warm, welcoming church home in Austin. While St. David’s is a large community, there are so many ways to engage. We have each found what we need here to continue an ongoing, joyful process of spiritual renewal and deep connections in faith.”
– Elizabeth W.
“I’ve been going to St. David’s for about a year now and recently became a member. For a while, when anyone would ask me how I came to choose St. David’s I would relate my first experience there and usually end by saying how happy I was that I had found St. David’s. More recently, I’ve been thinking that maybe it wasn’t I who chose St. David’s, but rather God who chose St. David’s for me. I look forward to the journey ahead and to serving St. David’s and the community in whatever ways God leads me to serve.” – Kerry Z.
What does it mean to be a member of St. David’s?
St. David’s members are expected to help the Church carry out its mission of restoring all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. Members are asked to attend worship as regularly as possible, participate in on-going spiritual formation, and to make an annual pledge. Check out our Ministries and Programs booklet to see where you would like to get involved.
Do I need to be Baptized and/or Confirmed?
Baptism marks the beginning of a new life in Christ. To become a member of any Episcopal Church, including St. David’s, baptism is the first step. If you’ve never been baptized, learn more here. Confirmation is typically offered twice a year. Before you may be confirmed, you are asked to participate in a preparatory class. Learn more.
How do I move my membership record to St. David’s from another parish?
If you have previously been a member of another church, and would like to transfer your church membership to St. David’s, contact Katie Wright. You’ll be asked to provide some basic information about yourself so that we may complete your membership record and notify your previous parish.
