The St. David’s Singers is an intergenerational choir, open to those with all levels of musical experience. This friendly chorus is led by Associate Director of Music and organist Eric Mellenbruch. The ensemble serves at a variety of worship services approximately once every three weeks, and the choir sings a wide variety of choral literature, from Romantic Mass settings and traditional Anglican repertoire to full-on gospel anthems.
The St. David’s Singers includes members with a range of musical backgrounds, from those with decades of choral experience to singers who are at the very beginning of their musical journey. No audition is required to join the choir. The choristers enjoy a relaxed and learning-focused rehearsal atmosphere that emphasizes music reading and interpretation, healthy choral and vocal practices, and fellowship with our fellow singers.
The choir rehearses on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:45 p.m. in the choir room. Many of us gather beforehand for dinner together around 6:15 p.m. at Holy Grounds coffee shop — open until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, and offers many dinner selections.
