An Award For You

Because St. David’s recognizes how many parishioners are passionate about outreach, we now have become a “certifying organization” for the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Established in 2003, this award given by the President of the United States honors individuals, families and groups who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteer service over the course of 12 months. To be eligible to receive the award, you’ll submit a record of your annual volunteer service hours to Peter Hahn, who will administer this program for St. David’s. Children up to age 14 are eligible to receive the award after completing at least 50 hours of community service in a single year; ages 15 to adults are eligible after 100 hours of service. Groups from St. David’s may also qualify, as well.

To learn more and find out how to qualify, please contact Peter or visit If you are ready to set up your volunteer profile and log your hours on the Presidential Service Awards website, use the Service Key of KWX-58998 to link your service hours to St. David’s as your Certifying Organization. Qualifying hours may be earned through outreach and other activities organized by the church, as well as other community service in which you are involved.
