St. David’s is beautiful place to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage, with three worship spaces, an outdoor Labyrinth, ample parking, and the option to rent our facilities to host a rehearsal dinner and/or reception.

The Historic Church provides a picturesque setting for a wedding, seating up to 425 guests, in an ornate and historic worship space.

Bethell Hall offers a more modern, open space, with seating for up to 200 guests.

For smaller weddings, Grace Chapel is a lovely space, and accommodates up to 30 guests.

Our outdoor Labyrinth, complete with flowers, white lights, and a water feature, provides a beautiful space for bridal portraits and “first look” photos of the bride and groom prior to the ceremony.

Holy Matrimony is a Sacrament of the Church, and therefore there are some guidelines for being married at St. David’s:

  • One member of the couple must be a baptized Christian who is an active, attending, and pledging member of St David’s and is in on-going Christian formation.
  • One member of the couple or grew up attending St David’s and is active in another church outside of Austin, or has family ties to St. David’s.
  • If the couple lives in Austin, they must be members of St David’s.
  • Couples living outside of Austin will be considered upon request from the Rector of their parish.

All couples planning to get married at St. David’s are required to take pre-marital counseling. We have three pre-marital counselors that we recommend, or you can discuss alternative counseling with the clergy who will officiate at your wedding.

Please review the Procedures Regarding Holy Matrimony document to find out more about wedding celebrations and guidelines at St. David’s. You may find the Ten Principles of Holy Matrimony helpful as well. The next step is to complete the Request to be Married form and return it to Amanda Wischkaemper, our Wedding Coordinator. Once you begin your planning process, you may find our selections for wedding readings helpful.

We truly look forward to working with couples to make this special event one full of spirituality and joy!
